The White House.

As you might imagine I’ve been pretty busy since the campaign launched, and by all means that makes me very happy. In an effort to somewhat recharge the batteries I took a quick trip to DC last weekend. And when I say quick, I mean quick. I left Saturday morning at 6:30 am and returned home last night at 8:50. I went by myself and you’d be amazed at the number of things you can see when traveling alone. I’ll share more photos later, but these are a few of the photos I have on my phone that I can share right now.

Greensboro Sit-in show at American History Museum.

When I stopped by the American History Museum the very first thing I saw was the exhibit for the Woolworth Sit-in that took place in Greensboro. I thought it was somewhat ironic that out of everything in this huge building, this is the first thing I saw. As I was reading the signage with the exhibit I noticed that they were setting up a show of some sorts. I asked one of the folks that worked the show was something they do daily and she replied by saying, “Yes, four times a day.” I took the shot above during the show, and I must say, as I watched I felt very proud to be from Greensboro – where history was changed.
