The Progress Greensboro does not Need

I was updating my Flickr page late last night and realized that I took the photo above on May 27, 2008. I’ve highlighted this particular house a lot as of late, but I think it a classic example of what needs to NOT happen in Greensboro. Here we are almost one year later and the photo below shows the houses current condition.

The weeds and fresh boards added to the outside of the windows are not the type of progress that Greensboro needs.

Update: I do want to add that I spoke with someone in the Inspection’s department yesterday and they informed me that this particular house had a title search done on February 4, and that house will probably make it in front of the Minimum Housing Commission in July. I’ve asked to receive notification about the hearing as I plan to attend.
