The City of Greensboro’s Department of Transportation (GDOT) will be holding a meeting tonight to discuss improvements on Horse Pen Creek Road. This particular road has been a topic of discussion for quite some time as it has seen increased traffic as the area has become more and more developed.
I work with a couple folks that live on Horse Pen and they’ve made comments about the traffic on more than one occasion. In preparation for tonight’s meeting I reached out to them today to see if the problem still exists. They responded by saying “It’s ridiculous” and “Every morning and every evening, especially in the morning though when I have to make a left turn.”
I have a feeling there will be a large turnout of folks wanting to see what the City has planned. Hopefully problems of this nature will be addressed in a more proactive way in the future because the ongoing traffic problem on Horse Pen Creek Road didn’t just happen overnight.
