Land Development Ordinance Meeting

by Ryan Shell on July 17, 2009

Land-use and development are always a hot topic in Greensboro, which is why I thought I’d share this info released by the City with you.

“The City of Greensboro will hold two community meetings to get public input on its draft Land Development Ordinance (LDO). The meetings will be held Thursday, July 23, from 6-8 pm at the Leonard Recreation Center, 6324 Ballinger Rd., and Thursday, July 30, from 6-8 pm in the Continuing Education Center Building, Room 152, on GTCC’s Greensboro campus, 3505 E. Wendover Ave.

The draft LDO, which is the result of more than four years of work by City staff and the city manager-appointed Citizens’ Advisory Team, will serve as the source for standards and regulations related to land-use and development in the city.

City staff will be on hand at both meetings to provide additional information on the LDO and answer any questions or concerns. For more information, call the Planning Department at 336-373-2144 or visit its Web site.”
