Any idea of what the average age is for the individuals that have filed (Mon – Thurs) for this years council race? Ok, I’ll tell you. The age range spans from 27 to 73 and averages out at 50 years old. I’m 29.
There are two people in their late 20’s, two in their 30’s, two in their 40’s, 6 in their 50’s, five in their 60’s and one in their 70’s (one person did not list their age). There are still plenty of folks that are supposed to file, but I’m pretty certain the average age will not be dropping.
I have absolutely nothing against someones age, but I’m extremely proud to have the opportunity to represent Greensboro’s younger demographic and look forward to being a voice on the Greensboro City Council.

Why is this important to highlight ? If anything, it probably makes people more reluctant to vote for you.
I’m not so much saying it is important, but I thought it was interesting. I like numbers and statistics… maybe that is why I decided to share. I didn’t see the information as really being a positive or negative – just informative.
